I Quit

I have known this day would come for a long time. I have prepared myself.

I hereby adopt the English spelling of 'Moulding' and will no longer write 'Molding'. The transition may be difficult. I may fall off the wagon from time to time. I will likely never change the spelling in my head.

Moulding....there, I said it.

I have to go now.

  1. Heh heh,
Makes one wonder what pushed you over that threshold. A colourful story to follow? :)

  2. Brilliant, Matt. Soon you'll start speaking in questions, right?

  3. When I was building an SEO keyword list for the new website at the lumber yard where I work, I agonized over this spelling since one of our biggest products is moulding and millwork. My research eventually turned up a correlation between hardwoods and mouldings vs. softwood/MDF and molding. It could still be a stretch but I choose to believe the folks serious about fine work use the moulding spelling.

  4. Slippery Slope Alert!

  5. Kilted Woodworker,
Is that what's next? Have you seen that before? What was after that? Will you let me know if you see the trend?

I guess I should thank you for the warning, right?

  6. Looks like you're already starting to do it, doesn't it? It adds a nice bit of colour to your comments.

Isn't the next step driving on the left side of the road? Or it might have sommit to do with curry...

  7. The Indian place across from CVSW (IndiGo) had decent curry. You could start there.

  8. moulding is a artistic accent. Mold is that slimy stuff. Dan

  9. I've been looking for a couple of moulding planes. I might have missed you otherwise!

  10. "Molding"?
Isn't that a tiny village in Shropshire?
