Part III: A Textbook Example for Hollows and Rounds...Still

The first post detailed the Hood's support.



The second installment addressed the Waist moulding.



(Can you see where the grain makes sharp reversals by the ease of action or plane shaving ejection?)


Moving on to the third profile that Bill executed in my shop last Saturday morning.

Today we are making the undermoulding for the hood.

Scratch stock followed by rabbet plane



#6 round followed by #2 hollow



This moulding is second from the front below. (Bill brought room for error and will cut this to final dimension at his shop.)
